One of my first tasks in MicksGarage was to take a fresh look at the branding. After much discussion it was decided to keep the colours and general shape of the logo close to the original. I worked with a designer / illustrator friend of mine {Susan Meaney - smeany.com}
Multiple meetings with the CEO and members of the marketing team ensued. Group discussions were taken to their zenith and then the decision making was brought back behind closed doors. I've included some of the prototypes as well as the finished products here.
The result was a logo that was ready for the expansion of the company into new geographic territories (a localised version of the site was built for the German market) and into new markets (a version of the logo was made for a garden tools and maintenance retailer and also for a motorbike retailer).
